Indo French Cultural Exchange Programme
The Indo French Cultural Exchange Programme has been an ongoing programme of the Government of India for many years in which ICPR, UGC, ICSSR and ICHR has been participating on bilateral issues in Social Services. From the French side the Maison Des Sciences De L’Homme (MSH) acts the Scientific and Administrative Coordinating Agency for funding an other purposes.
Under this programme, ICPR sends, every year, one scholar for one month to Paris to carry out some research work there. This entitles the scholars to submit and effective work plan on some French Philosopher/Philosophy or Indian Philosophy having some influence on French Philosophy or vice-versa. Normally scholars who are familiar with this programme, approach the council and the matter is decided by the Research Project Committee or the Chairman who nominates the Scholar to go to Paris for the research work.
While the respective Indian Institutions take care of the scholars’ air travel from India to Paris and back, the Maison Des Sciences takes care of their stay at Paris by providing 1800 euros to each scholar and medical insurance etc.
