Constitution of the Governing Body
The Council will constitute the Governing Body for a period
of three years and the Governing Body shall consist the following:
The Governing Body shall generally carry out the objects of
the Council as set forth in the Memorandum of Association.The
affairs of the Council
shall be administered, directed and controlled by the Governing
Body. The Governing Body of the Council for the purpose of
Act XXI of 1860 shall
consist of the following:
(a) Chairman;
(b) Not less than 3 or more than 8 members appointed by the Council at the Annual General Meeting;
(c) A representative of the Ministry of Education and Social Welfare (Department of Education);
(d) A representative of the Ministry of Finance;
(e) Two representatives of the U.P. Government;* and
(f) Member-Secretary.
Subject as hereinafter provided, the term of office of the members shall be three years at a time.
